Based on the foregoing, of the 30 APPRI agreements in which the Mexican nation is found, 25 of these have ended their validity and one of them was denounced with the country of India, Mexico has made the decision to initiate a policy that modernizes the agreements mentioned above. Therefore, the Secretary of Economy has focused mainly on modernizing the APPRI agreements in relation to the countries of South Korea, China, India and Switzerland, in search of obtaining a better balance in order to provide protection and remove uncertainty. of the investors. The foregoing is based on rules considered clear and reciprocal for the productive sector. It focuses mainly on the use of international investment law, the jurisprudence and experience of the State before the Arbitration Courts focused on corporate social responsibility and sustainable investments in the APPRI, improving its dispute resolution mechanism between investors and the State. In this way, the foreign direct investment (FDI) climate is improved, Mexico's capacity to attract foreign capital is strengthened, conditions for Mexican investors are also improved, flow diversification is promoted, and a satisfactory legal framework is consolidated for investment and competitive improvement in Mexico.
