Nearshoring is considered an outsourcing strategy, where a company transfers a percentage of its productions to third parties, located in other countries, locating in nearby destinations with similar conditions and taking its product to the destination country. It arose in response to offshoring, mainly looking for the reduction of costs involved in looking for suppliers in more distant destinations;although some say that it was born from the war trade between the United States and China forcing producers to relocate production processes to lower the cost of labor.

In Mexico, this new modality has been used mainly in the north of the country, in states like Chihuahua, Coahuila, Baja California and Nuevo Leon. The first state was one of the biggest exports at national level with 55, 736 millions of dollars, while Cpahuila did 44,774 millions of dollars, Baja California 38.828 millions of dollars and Nuevo Leon obtained 38,431 millions of dollars in merchandise exports. Nearshoring for our country turns out to be of great benefit since we start because we are one of the closest countries to the largest importer in the world: the United States. Therefore, we are a strategic country for these businesses since there are a large number of points in favor of this: the trade war between China and the United States, the T-MEC, low labor costs in Mexico, fast supply chains and safe, as well as the good performance in the national industry. This strategy brings with it a large number of advantages for our country since there is a reduction in logistics costs, as well as a supply chain that is fast and safe, allowing direct communication, a developed and diversified industrial sector, lower tariffs, among others that mainly benefit us as a country.
